Well, I finally crashed after the hullabaloo of the Heritage Fair. I've been home a couple days recuperating, so the blog is a little out of date.

Humanities 8
We've watched a video on Knights and did a comparison chart on Knights vs Samurai. This chart is due tomorrow. We also paid our taxes in the realm with M&M's today, the King/Queen reaping most of the rewards of course. Title pages are overdue now and need to be handed in asap.

SS 11
We have completed Chapter 3 now, notes were due today, questions are due tomorrow. We began talking about the Depression of the 1930's (chapter 4). A combined chapter 3 and 4 test will be next week.

Title pages were due today. We looked at the feudal system in Europe during the Middle Ages and compared it to our present school system. We also looked at a typical peasant house and compared that to our houses.

SS 11

We started notemaking using the Magnet Note strategy I taught today. The first half of chapter 3 is due tomorrow for discussion in class.

Welcome back!

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break! Mine was super duper.

Humanities 8
Today we talked about the Middle Ages, what we know, what we want to know and how we want to learn it. We started our title pages for the Middle Ages...didn't mean to rhyme there...

SS 11
We did a quick review of where the blame lies for the start of The Great War. We then moved on to our critical question for chapter 3, "Who missed the roar of the 20's?" Half the vocabulary should be done for tomorrow.

Humanities 8
Now that the fair is behind me, I can get back to my official duties here at the Kingdom of Fun. Today we finished our inspirational posters. There is NO homework over the Spring Break (except if you didn't finish your poster), we all deserve a holiday. Enjoy, everyone!

SS 11
We had our chapter 2 test today, it was a toughie! I'll mark these over Spring Break and get results back to you on the Monday we return. There is no homework over the break, but if you wish to read ahead to the 1920s and 30s, go ahead!

Happy Spring Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and happy gardening to me!

Heritage Fair a HUGE Success!

Congratulations to all students for a job well done. The Heritage Fair was a great success due to all your hard work and dedication! Decisions for who moves on to the Districts will be announced after Spring Break. Now back to our regular programming.
